Rajasthan is a leading producer of minerals in the India. The Aravali regions which has the oldest geological formations in the subcontinent have massive deposits of such minerals. Rajasthan is the largest producer of soapstone in the country which produces 88% of the total output of the country. The mining leases of these minerals are concentrated within a radius of 150kms. of Udaipur city.

Anand Kumar & Co. was established in the year 1971 as a partnership firm with an objective to pulverize and supply soapstone and other industrial minerals. Later in 1995 Anand Talc & Steatite Pvt. Ltd. was incorporated to support the groups manufacturing facility.

Both companies with the same objective are managed by a common ownership and work internally by sharing resources in management and Marketing. Two separate production outlets were setup for focused growth and appropriate control of quality. Though managed by a common team, practically for all purposes the units are treated as two separate identities.

With an experience of more 30 years in the field the group enjoys leading market position owing to quality commitment and competitive price, in spite of intense competition the group has achieved a steady growth and ranks itself among the few top organizations in this product segment.
